Where the heck is my tax case?
The Taxpayer Advocate Service has created a “Taxpayer Roadmap” to help people figure out where their case is in the IRS tax system. Like a subway map, it shows many lines and stations along the way.
This Roadmap is especially helpful if you’ve received an IRS notice and don’t know what might come next.
