Each year thousands of NH victims of domestic violence and stalking seek protection for themselves and their children through family courts. Nearly 90% do so without the support of legal counsel. You have the license and privilege to reverse this trend.
Become a DOVE Project volunteer and make a difference for victims of domestic violence and/or stalking in your community. The DOVE Project provides the training and support you need to provide representation for clients at:
Final Domestic Violence Restraining Order hearings under NH RSA 173-B, “Protection of Persons from Domestic Violence.”
Final Stalking Restraining Order hearings under NH RSA 633:3-a, “Stalking.”
DOVE partners with New Hampshire crisis service agencies whose advocates link victims with local DOVE attorneys. Advocates provide additional attorney support and an array of client services, including emotional support at final restraining order hearings
In addition, DOVE provides free interpreter services to limited English proficiency clients and prospective clients (Please see brochures linked below).
Your time commitment will be limited:
Up to four hours for simpler DOVE cases and eight to 20 hours for more complex cases.
Our commitment to you:
Training
Malpractice Insurance
