If you are a volunteer with a LITP case and you want to submit your Quarterly Status Update, you can do so here.

The Low-Income Taxpay Project (LITP) is a free tax clinic designed to help low-income taxpayers with federal tax problems, including:

  • refund delays

  • stimulus payments

  • tax credits

  • identity theft

  • audits

  • tax debts

  • liens & levies

  • Installment agreements

  • offers in compromise

  • innocent spouse relief

  • injured spouse relief

  • worker classification

Volunteers with the LITP are attorneys, CPAs, enrolled agents, and return preparers. They assist clients with a range of needs, including:

  • representing clients in their controversies with the IRS (training may be available)

  • preparing prior-year tax returns for clients needing to come into filing compliance

  • teaching classes to low-income and ESL students about the tax system (materials provided)

  • spreading the word about our services (brochures available)

Training and materials can be provided by 603 Legal Aid.
