Website Content Coordinator
Summary:
603 Legal Aid is a civil legal aid provider offering legal representation, advocacy, and education. We are looking for a dedicated and creative Website Content Coordinator to join our team and help us enhance our online presence through compelling and engaging educational content.
This is a grant-funded position. The Website Content Coordinator will oversee the end-to-end management of website content, including updating of website content to ensure it is accurate, aligns with our mission, and effectively communicates our message to our audience and enhancing user experience and accessibility. The Website Content Coordinator will work closely with a third-party website development contractor in the restructuring and launching of our website onto a new, more robust platform intended to improve access to self-help materials for self-represented litigants seeking legal information. This role requires project management skills, strong writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with various teams both within and outside the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Coordinate all aspects of website content development projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of services.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all related projects, including project plans, user guides, and training materials.
Content Management: Review, standardize, and publish education materials and self-help guides with assistance from subject matter experts.
Content Creation: Develop, write, and edit content for the website, including blog posts, educational content, and other web pages.
Content Distribution: Collaborate with Communication Coordinator and others to develop and implement a strategy to ensure that digital content is being shared with the public through multiple channels
SEO and Analytics: Implement SEO best practices and track website performance using analytics tools, providing regular reports and insights to improve user engagement.
User Experience: Ensure website content is user-friendly and accessible, enhancing the overall user experience.
Staff Support: Provide support to staff on website content management and updates.
Other: other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements:
2-3 years of experience in website content management or project coordination;
Proficiency with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal);
Basic understanding of HTML and CSS;
Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices;
Experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics); and
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Familiarity with web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG);
Excellent organizational and time-management skills;
Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva);
Professional demeanor in interactions with clients, co-workers, supervisors, funders, and colleagues in the broader community;
Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail; and
Ability to work effectively within deadlines, under time-sensitivity, and with changing work priorities.
Salary/Benefits:
This position is full-time (37.5 hours weekly) and considered non-exempt for the purpose of federal wage/hour law. Salary will depend on experience with an anticipated starting rate of $27.00 per hour and a benefits package that includes health insurance, life and disability insurance, a 403(b)-retirement program, and generous paid time off.
