About the Youth Law Project

The Youth Law Project provides civil legal advocacy for low-income youth who are:

  • facing long term suspension or expulsion proceedings,

  • have come into contact with the juvenile justice system, or

  • are at risk of juvenile justice involvement.

The goal is to help these youth get the educational, mental health, and social services they need to stay in their communities and schools and to stay out of the juvenile justice system.

All Youth Law Project services are free.

If you are the parent or guardian of a youth and wish to apply for assistance for that child or teenager, call 1 (800) 921-1115. Wait until the end of the phone menu to complete a telephone intake, or leave a message requesting a call back to do one.
