603 Legal Aid welcomes Angelique Leis to its team!

603 Legal Aid is excited to welcome Angelique Leis as its new Accountant and Grants Manager.

Accounting is Angelique’s forte. She obtained her bachelor's and master’s degrees in accounting from Plymouth State University. Before joining 603 Legal Aid, she was on the accounting team for a luxury flooring business for four years, eventually rising to the level of senior accountant. She is still working there part time until her replacement arrives.

Angelique had been interested in switching to a career in the nonprofit field for quite some time when she found the job opening with 603 Legal Aid.

“I wanted to do something meaningful where I was helping the community,” she said. “It’s nice to be working at a place where you can be doing things for a good cause.”

Donna Dudley, 603LA’s senior accountant, will be a mentor to Angelique, helping her learn to use the organization’s accounting software and computer programs. Once up to speed, Donna believes Angelique will be an excellent fit.

“Angelique comes to us with several years of corporate accounting experience,” Donna said. “We are fortunate to add to our accounting team a professional of her caliber who is driven to advance 603LA’s mission.”

“I hadn’t realized legal aid was available as a resource before applying for this job, and I had no idea how many people out there need it,” said Angelique. “I feel honored to be doing what I can to help people get the support they need.”

Angelique lives in Weare with her husband, her dog, and three cats.
